ISLT 7360 Introduction to Web Development

Course Description: Basic web development and HTML. Covers file transfer and UNIX/LINUX servers management. Develops understanding of web graphic formats. Emphasizes user interface, navigation, and instructional design in building web sites.
Reflection: This course introduced me to the basics of HTML coding. The first week trying to figure out how to navigate around and a server and after a long phone call with Mizzou IT I finally figured out how to use a sever. After that, coding was not as hard as I thought it would be. There are a lot of helpful coding cites and once you figure out the basics like changing the way the words show up, how to create headings, and how to change different things colors it really comes easy. I really learned a lot of things that helped me when I took Intermediate Web Development. When I started this course I was overwhelmed and thought there was no way I would be able to create a website or a web page but by the end of the course I felt accomplished by what I could and had created.
